Mozart's Requiem Show last Friday

Last friday 30 March, me with the choir "capella universitaria" feat. the orchestra Sinfonietta Universitaria, we finally performed Mozart's Requiem on San Luis Potosi's Cathedral

The original plan was to start the concert at 8 pm but, we had very bad luck because there was a mass at 7pm and they finished it really late, and then, the orchestra had to take their places, technicians were puting the microphones.... Epic fail, I'm not sure if fail was from church or university, but, ok, we started really late.
Anyway, the concert was great, lot of people was there, Cathedral was filled with people!!!!! Here you can watch the videos of the concert but, my mother recorded it with my cell phone, and it was a little hard for her at the begining, that's why from requiem there is only the part of "kyrie", dies irae wasn't recorded.

Dean Kopri

Now I am going to write about a very talented musician I found in YouTube: Dean Kopri
I don't have many information about him, I just know that he is from Croatia, and he plays the piano really great!!!
On his YouTube Channel you can find covers from Nightwish, and other artists, but also, songs that he had made. As I said, he is really talented, but also, a very nice looking guy ;)

Nightwish

Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Finland. And personally, my most favorite band.
Nightwish is the most popular and succesfull band from Finland, with more than 7 millions albums saled all over the world.
The band was born in Tuomas Holopainen's mind in the summer of 1996, while he was camping. He talked with his friends Tarja Turunen and Emppu Vuorinen; and Jukka Nevalainen joined a little latter, realeasing their first album "Angels Fall First" on 1997, with the song "The Carpenter" as their first single.
Angels Fall First is the only album where Tuomas sings, after that album, he will never sing again anymore unfortunatelly. When they release the album oceanborn in 1998, Sami Vanska joined the band as bassist.
In 2001 or 2002, Sami Vanska was fired from the band, and Marco Hietala from Tarot joined Nightwish as bassist and male vocalist to make duets with Tarja Turunen.
In october 21, 2005, they had a gig in the Hartwall Arena of Helsinki, that show was recorded for a DVD named End Of an Era, because after that show, Tuomas Holopainen gave to Tarja Turunen, their vocalist unill that day, a letter which also was published in the band's webpage where the band fired Tarja Turunen, because of her attitude with the band.
In 2007 Nightwish started to look for their new vocalist, they recieved demos from many women all over the world, more than 2000, and the winner was, the sweddish singer Anette Olzon who was the vocalist of the sweddish band "Alyson Avenue" until then.
Nightwish has realeased 7 albums:

2. Oceanborn - 1998
3. Wishmaster - 2000
4. Century Child - 2002
5. Once - 2005
6. Dark Passion Play - 2007
7. Imaginaerum - 2011

Personally, I love Nightwish, they came to my life in my hardest and darkest moment, when I heard "The Phantom of the Opera" by first time with them, I felt that my life took a better direction. Their music, and every member of the band is so important for me.
I'm sure I'll do more posts about Nightwish, by now, I say goodbye with this beautifull song, a masterpiece.

Well... This is just a joke I made for my friends in facebook, but I liked a lot how I made that "magazine" so I will share it here.

Requiem Practice, Benedictus

I am in a choir from the University of San Luis Potosi, its name is "Capella Universitaria", and next march 30 we'll sing Mozart's requiem. This is a little video of our practices, it is in "Benedictus"

Johanna Kurkela

Recently, I knew about a finnish singer named Johanna Kurkela, who is Tuomas Holopainen's girlfriend.

As I said, she is a pop singer from Finland. Some Tuomas's fans hate her to death, some of us envy her, I won't deny that I would like to be Tuomas's girlfrien, hehehehehe. But personally I don't hate her, she seems to be a very nice girl, and she makes Tuomas happy, then, as fan, I'm happy.
Besides, I've listened to her songs, and she is really amazing, I'm her fan now!!!

Lilith

Lilith, in Judaism, was Adam ‘s first wife , before Eve's creation. Adam felt so lonely, and asked God for a partner, then God created a female with mud as he had created Adam, the woman was Lilith.

When Adam wanted to have sex with Lilith, she felt offended  because Adam always wanted to be above her. She said "Why should I lie beneath you?" "I was made of dust too, therefore I am your equal." Adam replied that he, being the image of God, would not stop at that level to be equal with Lilith, who was just one of many beasts of the fields created to help, and thus it would be like always remain.

Lilith was smarter than Adam had imagined. She was with Yahweh, and used his skills in seduction with him. Yahweh, known for his soft heart toward women, was finally driven to reveal his sacred name, and so Lilith pronounced the divine name, and flew away from the Garden and Adam forever.

Then she took up residency in a cave in the Red Sea coast, where she currently lives. She accepted the demons as lovers, and spawned many thousands of demon children, she was called Mother of Demons, wife of Asmodeus, who is the King of Demons.

Meanwhile, Adam found out that he missed Lilith. He went with Yahweh and asked him the return of Lilith. Yahweh was agree about that a creature of Eden should not so easy leavethe kingdom, and dispatched three angels to bring her back.

These three angels: Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof quickly found Lilith in a cave; they demanded her to return with Adam on the orders of Yahweh. If refused, they informed her they would kill a hundred of her demon children each day until she decided to return.

Lilith said that even this fate was better than returning to Eden and submission to Adam. As soon as the Angels completed their threat, Lilith also made a terrible proclamation: In return for the pain inflicted, she would kill the children of Adam. She vowed to attack the children, and even their mothers during birth. She also swore that newborns were in danger of being subjected to her wrath, for twenty days girls, and boys for eight days. Not only that, but also to attack men in their sleep, stealing his semen to give birth to more demon children, to replace those slain each day.

Lilith was not as visceral. She made another promise, wherever she sees exposed the names of these three angels, no one in that place would be in danger of their actions.
